Lunarloves are a SEMIOPEN species
Terminology
Frequencies/Auras/Energy: A source of their power or entity.
Nightside is a sacred village where the best-specialized Lunarloves reside.
Nebulous Veil (AKA. Lunar Mist) is a cool-colored, glittery haze around Lunamor that acts as a magical shield.
Bonds/Connections: A relationship.Anatomy
By default, Lunarloves are smaller creatures, ranging between 2ft and 4ft tall; although it is possible for them to be taller or smaller, even a select few Lunarloves reach nearly 7ft tall!Masks are the face of the Lunarlove! They come in many different shapes and colors, although they’re commonly a near-white heart with two little eye slits (This does not mean they can’t have other shapes or more eye slits!). The masks are TYPICALLY symmetrical, aside from the occasional crack or chip, which typically heal over time. These masks are thick but pliable, so Lunarloves can visually express themselves like we do!Crests are typically feathered and, at minimum, have two “layers” to form a “mane” around the mask but can have up to 5 layers! The layers closest to the mask are thicker and shorter, while the ones furthest from the mask are longer and thinner, more translucent. The more layers to the crest, the more it will droop down, but some Lunarloves can perk their crests up (like a peafowl tail!).Their bodies are divided into four main, circular sections: The head, the upper body/first segment, the waist/second segment, and the bottom/third segment. The three segments of the body are protected/made of a hard, malleable layering, just like the mask (Comparable to an elytron on a beetle). The arms are typically on the front of the first segment of the body. There are three sections of the bug-like arm, the first two being hard and ridged and the last section being the softest/fluffiest.The wings of a Lunarlove are located on the back of the first segment of the body and are typically feathered. Functional wings are always, at the very least, 2x the size of their body, but can be up to 4x as large! The legs are digitigrade legs with a little nub-paw for a foot, and can have toepads or claws!TL;DR
Bonds/Offspring: The only method of procreation is parent Lunarloves sharing their energy; this is done with the help of 1 Void Lunarlove or a lot of lower-class Lunarloves. The child may/may not share ALL features, and they're highly susceptible to mutations. Bonds may be broken if: the Lunarloves energy clash, or if Void Lunarloves see it fit.Anatomy: 2ft-4ft, masks/faces, crests, segmented body, bug-like arms, wings, and digitigrade legs.Magic
Lunar: Base magic, works with moon energy. Creates soft bonds except romantic, and boosts other forms of love.
Solar: Works with sun energy. Like Lunar, but sturdier.
Planetary: Works with planet alignments. Can create romantic bonds.
Stellar: Works with star phenomena. Strongest of the 4 common magics, requires Solar experience. Can create romantic bonds.
Void: Magic possess strictly by Nightside dwellers. Works in the absence of outer energy. Can bond soulmates.
Bonds and Offspring
Two or more Lunarloves with high, mutual frequencies can connect themselves, share a part of their unique auras, and give life to another of their kind. It's a process that requires assistance from a large group of lower Lunarloves or a Void Lunarlove so that everything goes well.Additionally, this is the only method of procreation they have, as they are sexless BUT can have any gender identity and present any way they please. The offspring may not share all the same features as the parents but always carry at least one or two traits from each, such as pattern, color, mask type, crest type, tail type, wing type, and other defining features. This practice makes Lunarloves incredibly vulnerable to supernatural outside influence; A shift in frequency during creation and an overabundance/inadequate amount of a certain kind of energy during their lives can change them for better or worse. None of these transformations are irreversible, but severity will determine how much it takes to counter the effects. In the case of a breaking bond, it’s typically due to:
1) A clashing aura between the two, eroding the bond, OR
2) The influence of Void Lunarloves.Void Lunarloves only break a bond if necessary. They may break a bond over an ever-corrupting aura, incorrect conditions, or a dire mistake in judgment.Magic
Lunar magic is the type of magic ALL Lunarloves can do. It's simple and easy for them to harness, given that energy for it is everywhere and it is the most well-taught ability in Lunamor. Lunar Lunarloves can create “soft” bonds EXCEPT romantic and give a slight boost to other forms of love.Solar magic is similar, however it’s slightly more challenging to find the energy sources to utilize it. As a result of its complicated nature, it is more robust and sturdy than Lunar magic.Planetary and Stellar magic are uncommon practices because they are tedious and meticulous. Both are for stronger connections of the previously stated forms of attraction AND romantic bonds.Planetary Lunarloves work with the planets (as the name suggests), meaning the orbits, the alignments, and anything that has to do with the subject is encompassed in this craft. Any Lunarlove with a basic understanding of Lunar magic can learn Planetary magic, although it is a lengthy and delicate process.Stellar Lunarloves work with constellations, nebulas, supernovas, and other star-related phenomena. There is a prerequisite to this field and that is knowing Solar magic. Any Lunarlove that knows Lunar AND Solar can also learn Stellar magic, making it the strongest of the 4 common magics.Void magic is a specialized magic, only possessed by the Nightside dwellers. It is a craft that takes decades to master because Void magic is the ability to use all energies AND the absence of energy. Void Lunarloves are the ones that deliberately bond others together as soulmates (not just romantic ones) and create connections that are extremely difficult to break.

Angelotus
Similar to an earthly sea slug or sea angel, Angelotus’ are aquatic creatures native to Lunamor that illuminate the waters they reside in.
Anatomy
Both Sea and Lake Angelotus’ have long, sea slug like bodies with “wings” on their upper body, stubby “arms” and digitigrade legs. They have a squishy translucent/transparent body with glowing organs and a “shawl” that covers the length of their being. Along their shawl and face are feelers and mini-feelers, which assist them in detecting danger, navigating, and protecting their bloom.
Sea Angelotus’ tend to be longer and thicker, with more wings or legs. Their feelers may be bigger and they may have multiple large blooms instead of one flower. The Angelotus resides on the shallows to feed, pushing the bloom/flower(s) on their back above the water to photosynthesize, and then furl in and close once they retreat back into the waters. The nutrients from photosynthesis give the Angelotus their glow.
Although Angelotus’ have no real predators, all Angelotus’ are poisonous so they can protect their bloom, which does have predators; Their blooms are desired due to its sweet and sour taste, plus its pleasant aftereffects. If they lose their flower, they lose their ability to eat. This is why they are incredibly protective of it.
